The Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL), a PSU, has provided skill development training to 100 Divyangjan (persons with various disabilities) beneficiaries, with an aim to empower and help them earn livelihood in Visakhapatnam, AP.

The RINL commenced the training programme, with the support of Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of the organisation.

According to reports, the organisation spent Rs 4.95 lakh on the programme. The beneficiaries were trained at three training centres, i.e. Sreya Foundation, Sujathanagar, Sunflower Special School, Pedawaltair, Lebenshilfe, MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam.

The five month training was divided in two categories, with three months training in tailoring and two months for preparation of home needs like agarbattis, candle making, phenyl making and detergent making.

On successful completion of the training, certificates are given away to the participants on Tuesday. The certificates were presented by A Ashok, GM (CSR) and other officials of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of RINL.
